System Features
Multi Channel Order Capture
Irrespective of your sales channel orders can be passed to Axida HDi in batch, captured on line or be fully integrated into your current selling system using web services.
Delivery Date and Time Selection
Delivery dates and timeslots can be selected after purchase or during the sales process. Where continuous optimisation is used the system will advise you of the least cost delivery option, enabling you to minimise the cost of delivery. Available delivery dates are configured dependant on stock availability, resource availability, geographical coverage and operational lead times.
Types of Orders Managed
The system manages a range of order types based on products and services including stocked items, back to back supplier orders, supplier direct delivery orders, made to order products and service related visits. Configurable rules within the system determine how each order behaves taking into account the mix of order types.
Order Lifecycle
The system is configured to manage an order lifecycle which is specific to your operation ensuring each individual order follows the rules applicable to the characteristics of the order or its contents. For example ensuring orders are delivered using the most appropriate delivery resource eg carrier or two man fleet.
Outbound Order Management
All orders are subject to final optimisation checks, pick sequencing is configurable to ensure high priorities and long distance orders are available in a timely manner. Customers can be kept informed of progress using automated contact mechanisms such as emails, SMS and automated voice messaging.
Day of Delivery Tracking
Customers can be kept informed of progress using GPS tracking and integrated customer contacts via SMS or email. Customer contact centre staff also have full visibility of order tracking.
Delivery De-briefing
Delivery de-briefs can take place in batch or on line using hand held technology connected via GPRS. Integrated work flow actions ensure that delivery failures are immediately available for re-scheduling.
Workflow
The integrated workflow module ensures that all order exceptions are highlighted with the appropriate customer contact centre staff, prompting the appropriate remedial action. Workflow entries which fail to be actioned are automatically escalated. All workflow entries and actions are fully configurable.
Contact Management
The contact management module enables users to record all contacts relating to customers, orders or deliveries. The configurable module allows you to create your own contact reasons and solution processes which may or may not be related to home deliveries.
Warehouse Management
Axida HDi has an integrated warehouse module, fully RF compliant which was designed to manage both stocked and customer specific order items. Alternatively standard interfaces are available to integrate with your existing warehouse management system.
Management Information
The system provides a range of standard reports which are available through a web browser and can be downloaded into spreadsheets. Alternatively views of live data or copy managed data can be made available to your existing Business Intelligence Tool.
Background
Traditionally retailers have focussed their efforts on the customer shopping experience, be it in-store, through a call centre or on the Internet. So why is one of the most important and sometimes only face-to-face representation of the brand - the delivery, managed with a purely cost driven strategy? Little or no thought is given to the overall cost of how damaging a bad delivery can be to their brand at the final touch point. Businesses need to reconsider their approach to home delivery.
With more and more businesses turning to the Internet, the opportunity to interact with their customers has significantly diminished; consequently the delivery service is becoming the only face-to-face opportunity to meet, influence and educate a customer as to the values of their brand and its culture. Above all, this is the opportunity to create a relationship that manages the ups and downs of generally doing business.
Companies that have understood the value of home delivery to their business profitability and their brand are adjusting the way in which it is strategically planned and sensitively delivered.
Axida, one of Europe’s leading providers of home delivery solutions understood long ago the importance of home delivery to the brand value of business and has created solutions and approaches that quickly take advantage of the differential a customer centric home delivery approach brings.
